Solution:
The condition for erference maxima is sinalpha_m mfraclambdad quadtextrmfor minZ abcliste abc The smaller the slit separation d the larger the angles for the erference maxima. Therefore the slit separation for the three patterns increases from bottom to top. abc The greater the wavelength the larger the angles for the erference maxima. With ssclambdaredssclambdagreenssclambdablue it follows that the first pattern top corresponds to blue light the second to green and the third bottom to red light. abcliste
