Exercise:
A small ball carrying a charge qO is placed in a uniform field with magnitude EhO. Find a po where the total electric field uniform field and field of charged ball vanishes.

Solution:
The field combined field disappears if the directions of the uniform field and the field of the po charge have opposite directions and the same magnitude. From the first condition it follows that the solution has to on a line away from the po charge in the direction against the field lines of the homogeneous field.
